Tours to Industrial Sites

“Touring the ENERGY Route” – production sites that once were off-limits for visitors are today regarded as tourist attractions. The monumental buildings and installations of the energy producing industry testify to a proud industrial tradition of 150 years.

Only those who have gotten to know the oversized monuments, buildings, and installations can understand why gigantic coal mining is followed by a beautiful landscape of lakes. These lakes “explain” the new landscape. The bus tour leads to several attractions of Lusatian industrial sites such as the Visitors’ Mine F60, the Schwarze Pumpe Power Plant, and the Lauchhammer Bio Towers. The production sites that once were off-limits for visitors today are accessible for tourists.
